First walking shoes
- Specially developed for children who have discovered walking
- Offer the best protection and firm support
- Flexible sole & removable footbed
Shoesme Extreme Flex® first walking shoes have an extremely flexible sole, with which the feet are rolled off better and children learn to walk well. This sole is the result of a study that Shoesme has carried out to arrive at the perfect outsole. The profile on the sole is constructed in such a way that the shoe is firm at the heel and bends where it should bend, at the ball of the foot. Try this for yourself by grabbing the shoe by the heel and nose and bending. You can immediately see that this is very easy! Thanks to the materials used, including a lot of rubber, the sole developed by Shoesme is not only flexible, but also provides cushioning, stability and grip.
Extreme Flex® concept | First-step protection
Not only the outsole, but also the inside of the Extreme Flex concept has been designed with great care and attention by Shoesme. A child's foot in this phase does not yet have a solid bone, but consists of cartilage that has not yet been formed. That is why Shoesme has developed its own orthopedic footbed especially for this group, completely tailored to the feet of small children who are learning to walk.
The orthopedic insole
At the front of the insole are cushioning blocks that ensure that the sole stays in place. On the inside of the sole there is light arch support, to ensure that a child does not turn inwards at the ankles. This footbed is slightly supportive, provides shock absorption and is lightweight. When you press on the footbed you feel the soft cushioning and also the support. The slight heel cup ensures that the foot stays nicely in place. A good footbed is often underestimated, but it is very important for the proper development of a child's foot.
The perforated microfibre lining has the property that it absorbs and releases moisture, ventilates and protects the feet against heat and cold. Together with the orthopedic footbed, the microfibre lining ensures that the shoe is comfortable and offers the right support for the first steps.
Size chart for baby and children's shoes
Feet can differ in length, always use the longest foot for the correct shoe size. Measure the distance from the heel to the tip of the big toe, which is the foot length in centimeters. Always assume the longest foot for shoe size. The sizes in the size chart below include space for growth. Unsure between two sizes? Then round up.
